So this means that they "cherry pick" the matches and leagues to open markets for, which implies that not every league, team or fixture will be available to bet on.
If a match or team isn't available to bet on on your bookie's website, it simply means that they believe they do not have enough data on such fixture inorder to set the right odds OR it might mean that they believe the league or match will not be profitable for them to open a market on.
The keyword here is "them". The bookies do what is best for "them"
So, if your local bookie doesn't have the matches you want to bet on, we hope the above explanation makes things clear and explains why.
That being said, some bookies like "Bet365.com" offer larger selection of matches, leagues and teams to bet on. It might be a good idea to create an account with them.
